I might make prints of just the drawing later on. We'll see.
No one has noticed the subtle weed leaf going on in this yet. A little too subtle I guess.

I'm a proud new dad!

I stopped in on my way to work this morning to see the Vader Project exhibit before they were sold at auction tomorrow at Freedman's. There were some really good interpretations in the group of 100 artists, some not so much. I'm glad I got a chance to see them all together for the last time. If I had extra 5 large hanging around it'd be cool to grab one of these but I don't.

This is my contribution to the Gigposters Black Book project, a sketchbook that over 40 artists from around the world get to do a spread in. The book will be auctioned on eBay to benefit gigposters.com.



I figured out it's been at least 10 years since I've painted anything. I tried using Dr. Matrins liquid watercolors on this one. Different then I'm used to. I forgot how unforgiving watercolors are! I only started to get the hang of it towards the end of the painting.
