I'm a proud new dad!

Coming soon...

January 18, 2010
Here are a couple things on the horizon I'm excited about:
1) A piece in I Want Your Skull issue #8
2) A piece in Gigposters Black Book project - each artist gets to do a spread and the completed book is sold at auction with all proceeds going to support the gigposters website.
3) A piece in Signed & Numbered gallery's "Mini" print exchange show.
4) The birth of my first child! For real. I'm gonna be a Daddy!

Cow House 2009 Re-Cap

August 02, 2009
I'm back from my trip to Ireland. It was truly an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to spend quality time with friends while establishing relationships with all of the students I helped teach during my two week stay at the Cow House Studios. We had two great groups of students and I only wish we could've spent more time together. They did succeed in convincing me to create a facebook account which I was opposed to for so long.
Ireland is a great country and the laid back nature of being on the farm was a great contrast to the hectic city life I'm used to. Overall it was the new experiences that make life special and these two weeks had a fair share of firsts for me.

My first time teaching figure drawing. All the countless hours of studio time knowledge and technique snippets from all my former professors came pouring out.

Cows everywhere. Customs question: Where you around livestock? Answer: No ;)

Milk cattle. Ominous skies.

Bike rides down the mountain.

Breathtaking tree lined road entrance to the Cow House Studios

The Barn, our accommodations. Our room was the first floor window there.

Dinner Prep. Cooking for 20 people 3x a day is a huge undertaking. Luckily Frank took care of it with Darragh.

My first successful cyanotype.

Beautifully modeled by Jennifer and Rosemary.

The Boys in Wexford Town.

The Boys enjoying some much needed R&R (aka pints) after the first session was over at a pub in Dublin called Gravediggers.

Frankie saving a calf who fell out of the pasture.

Darragh and I head out on the QUAD (for "lazy farmers") to go check up on the calf. I need one of those.

A successful fishery venture.
A wonderful trip.

Updatery

My life has been busy dealing with the day to day bullshit and I haven't had time to make much art. I have a couple of drawings in the works and a few projects coming up so stay tuned. In the meantime, here are a few of the recent notable highlights in my life:

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was shooting in South Philly and I watched the filming for a bit and then had the opportunity to meet Charlie. It was pretty cool. Nice dude.
We had to hold this pose for a slightly awkward amount of time while some dude was figuring out how to use my iPhone to take the picture.

We got a new whip!

It's a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta Sportswagen 2.0T. I love this car. I was totally anti-wagon when we went car shopping but I came around and I'm glad I did. This thing is fast, luxurious, holds more and gets better gas mileage than the SUVs/CUVs we were looking at. We call it it Guinness because of it's black exterior and tan interior. Mmmmmm....Guinness.

Let it be known that my "Nothing Is Fucked Here" print is almost sold out so act fast if you haven't...

Wedded

June 16, 2008
It's been a while since I posted but I have a valid excuse: I got married! It certainly does take a lot of energy to plan a wedding. I married the most amazing girl in the world. The whole wedding weekend was fantastic as was the honeymoon in Hawaii. Now that the dust has settled this married man plans on getting those pencils out again and making some art.

'65 Mustang Fastback that my wife came with. Bonus!

The getaway!

The above pictures were taken by our kick-ass photographer, Lisa Berry. We can't wait to see the rest!

The Honeymoon:
